Bob and Jo to me are much more than just friends. Although we don't
share the same blood, they are as close to a brother and sister
as I will ever have. Bob is my "puter guru," and has taught me just
about everything I know. He has spent hours....days....working
on my system, straightening out my messes, tackling problems
which were to me insurmountable, and making life a whole lot
easier for me. When I holler "help," Bob comes running. All I
have to do is feed him (smile).
Jo is my "sis" who I can talk with, share confidences with, and have fun
with. We have had wonderful, fun, crazy times together. We have also
shared tears together.
Bob and I walked the same streets of San Francisco and Berkeley in the
carefree days of our youth....the era of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the
peace symbol, love beads and flowers in the hair. We partied at the same
clubs and heard the same music. And those days are a part of us still.
No, we did not know each other then. It was not until nearly 30 years
had passed and we both ended up in the same community 2000 miles from home
that our paths crossed....and would you believe on the internet.
Bob and Jo have stood the test of time. They endured many, many
struggles....years of distance between them, family disappointments, job
relocations, career changes, and the heart-breaking loss of a child.
Through their faith in God and love for each other, they have won the
battle. They allowed destiny to lead their hearts and they are truly One.
Bob and Jo have seen my open heart, and they know me....very, very well.
They are my family, and they love me. How blessed I am to have met them
and to have them in my life.

Ray and I got to visit Bob and Jo on their 31st anniversary during our 2004 vacation. All is well and Bro and Sis are still going strong. Here are a few pics from that visit:
