Margaret Eaton's 7-Layer Casserole

Heat oven to 350°. Place in layers in a 2-quart baking dish with tight-fitting lid:

1 cup uncooked rice
1 cup canned whole kernel corn, drained
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
1 8-oz can tomato sauce mixed with ½ can of water
½ cup each finely chopped onion and green pepper
¾ lb. uncooked ground beef, crumbled
1 8-oz can tomato sauce mixed with ¼ can of water
4 strips of bacon, cut in half

Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes or longer until bacon is crisp. Makes 4 - 6 servings.
