Ann Biederman's Lemon Bread

Mix 1/3 cup margarine with 1 cup white sugar. Beat in 2 eggs. Sift 1-1/2 cups flour with 1 tablespoon baking powder. Add to mixture alternately with ½ cup milk. Fold in ½ cup chopped nuts and grated rind of 1 lemon. Bake in a well-greased loaf pan at 350° for 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes then spoon on glaze made with the juice of one lemon and 1/3 cup sugar.
