Rocky Road Brownies

1 6 oz pkg (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts work well)
1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Using low heat, melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips in a small, heavy saucepan, stirring regularly. Remove from heat & allow to cool slightly. Stir together flour & baking powder. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until softened. Add sugar & beat till well mixed. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well again. Beat in melted chocolate. Add flour mixture and beat yet again. Spread in a greased 9"x9"x2" baking pan.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. On baked base, layer remaining chocolate chips, nuts & marshmallows. Bake 5 to 10 more minutes or until marshmallows are golden. Cut into bars. Makes 24.
