Sangria

Sangria is one of those traditional 'tastes of Spain' - very simple to make, delicious and deceptively easy to drink and is great chilled and served in a terracotta Jarro Rioja, which comes in various sizes up to 2 liters.

INGREDIENTS:
1 bottle of a robust red wine like Madeira
Oranges, lemons, limes and apples (2 each)
2 peaches or nectarines, if in season
Small glass of fruity liquer such as Chambord
1/2 cup sugar
1 liter lemonade
Ice cubes

Pour wine into a jug or large container. Wash and slice fruit and add to wine. Add liquer and sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add lemonade and ice cubes and chill until ready to serve.
