1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup sour cream
In a saucepan, cook onion with paprika in butter until tender. Stir in soup and sour cream. Heat, stirring occasionally. Makes about 1-1/2 cups of sauce. Serve over sliced cooked beef, hamburgers, noodles, potatoes or rice.
NOTE: Onion chips can be substituted for the fresh onion.
