Why They Don't Read In The Bathroom
If women want quiet time, all they have to do is hang around men. They won't say a word unless
they're hungry or their hair is on fire. Women don't need to read in the bathroom, because men allow them
solitude whenever they want it. It's harder for men to find peace and quiet---and really, the john is their
only sanctuary. Although even in the bathroom a man isn't always safe. His lady will stand outside and
talk to him while he's in there. The point is, women's primary mode of survival didn't require silence (a
requisite for hunting) but networking with others, since the "weaker" sex always had to negotiate. This is
why, even now, they still won't give men any peace and quiet. (See?? It's our job :)
Why The Strange Chameleon-Like Colors Of Their Toenails
Across all cultures, symmetry is one way of defining beauty. Symmetry is really nothing more than a balance
in features---whether it's cheekbones, breasts, toes or mutual-fund portfolios---and it suggests good health and
resistance to disease. Painting toenails adds symmetry by providing a repetitive pattern of color to the toes, which
pleases the eye. It also adds excitement to the evening if she lets you apply the polish :)
Their Unwavering Trust In Horoscopes
Within horoscopes are encoded messages telling women exactly what to do to ensure male hopelessness. A
typical prediction like "big changes are in store" actually means "take him to the store, try on 17 outfits." And
for the most part, this works.
But women also love horoscopes because they defy logical thinking. Women are not as bound by rigid systems of
logic as men are. Horoscopes play into their intuitive-based thinking. Men, though, like to get their information
in well-ordered chunks, which explains why you read this entire series :)
