Nightlights
Being awakened in the middle of the night,
The sky violently ripped open as the rain pours
From the clouded cover of the cool dark night.
The wind whipping as if fueled by God Himself.
Suddenly I feel you, your manliness,
Your warmth against my body,
The softness of your hair caressing my chest.
Holding you close,
My fingertips trace your smooth shoulders.
Your electricity permeates my existence.
The lightening flashes...
Huge, merciless bolts
Tearing through the once peaceful sky.
The windows shake
As the thunder envelopes our existence.
I pull you close, hold you near,
And feel your heart beating
In perfect time with mine.
The serenity of sleep,
Initially devastated by the fear,
Is returned to a quiet contentment.
Our bodies together, our minds in unison,
Our souls entwined
In a lingering, longing embrace...
Uncertain of our future,
Unaware of our past,
Knowing only of our present.
For at that moment
The quiet understanding is all that matters.
For we are One.
The torrential rain pounds upon the glass,
Attacking with a fury
Against the sporadically lit sky.
The lightening flickers...
Exposing your masculine beauty,
And the eyes that pierce my soul.
You gaze deeply into my unconsciousness.
I can somehow feel your spirit.
The intensity building, the desire,
The moment will be forever etched in time.
Your lips brush gently across my cheek,
Your fingertips gently raising my lips to yours.
The power, the wonder of our moment,
Explodes as our lips gently touch.
The warm caress of your tongue
Seeking and searching for approval,
I kiss you gently, tasting your sweetness,
Feeling your soul, drowning in your passion...
I can only hear our hearts,
The rumble of the thunder
And my soul begging to be released.
The wind, so relentless,
Carries the rain that parts the curtains,
Violating the room from an open window.
The powers of nature
Surround our meager existence,
Gently caressing us with a cool dampness
You feel the drops upon my face,
Yet there is a warmth you do not know...
A tear...slowly carves a path across my cheek.
You raise up, wondering, as another follows.
They blend with the coolness of the rain,
As my strength seems washed away.
I try desperately to enjoy the moment,
Not worry if it will ever come again,
Yet I am swept away...by the fear...
The realization...the ecstacy of knowing...
That I have finally found my destiny...
And that you accept, cherish, and return
What is my unconditional love.
